Although at first glance this looks like one of Rab C Nesbitt's string vests, it's a different cloth entirely. It's a very stretchy, diamond mesh fabric in white - you can get an idea of the size of the mesh from the photo, as we've scanned it with a tape measure. The legal bods insist I have to tell you that the tape measure is not included in the sale. *sigh*. However, I have thought of something the legal bods didn't, which is that it won't stop zombies.

To give you an idea of the stretch (which is in all directions), if you take a 10-inch piece, it will stretch to 17 inches, although I should point out that it will not stretch that far in the other direction at the same time.

What could you use it for? Well, you could use it to simulate a string vest for fancy dress parties, make an expanding shopping bag or its original use which was almost certainly for lingerie manufacture (based on the fact that it came in with a batch of other lingerie fabrics). If you can imagine fishnet stockings, only in white and more substantial, you'll be well on your way to knowing what this fabric is like.
